The United Way South Niagara (UWSN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Sinclair to the position of Director of Operations & Marketing. She will be responsible for the overall operations of the UWSN and will provide solid leadership to the Board of Directors, Committees of the Board, Staff, and the South Niagara Community.

Jennifer brings over 13 years of experience in the non-profit sector and has demonstrated leadership in the areas of economic and community development within the Niagara Region. Her diverse background and skills encompass public relations, project management, community-based development, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. “Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the UWSN and a passion for building stronger communities. Her leadership will contribute to our vision to be a pivotal agent of social change in South Niagara”, commented Angela Carter, President of the Board, United Way South Niagara.

The UWSN also welcomes Jamie Miller and Jen McGuire as Campaign Associates for the 2012 annual fundraising campaign. Jamie Miller, an MBA graduate of Brock University, has several years experience working with the United Way St. Catharines and District on campaign and community investment as well as volunteering her time abroad with community development initiatives. Jen McGuire, a recent graduate of Brock University, is a proven self-starter and community volunteer having initiated what has now become one of the largest youth driven fundraisers in Oakville.

Jamie and Jen are responsible for the planning and execution of the annual fundraising Campaign with the support and guidance of Eric Lamothe, Campaign Manager, United Way of St. Catharines and District. “We have always worked together with the other United Ways in Niagara and this year we will be working collaboratively with the United Way of St. Catharines & District for our 2012 Campaign. This collaboration will ultimately strengthen our potential to achieve greater impact and results”, says Carter.

The United Way of South Niagara is a professional team of community volunteers and staff passionately committed to supporting community agencies to improve quality of life of people in need by raising and carefully allocating funds and monitoring agency program performance.
